Souhaitez, commandez; vous êtes ici la reine et la maîtresse. {Wish, command; you are queen and mistress here.} -Jeanne Marie Leprince de Beaumont La Beauté et la Bêt
The most powerful emotion one can possibly experience is love. From love families are born, mercy is shown, and above all else harmony reigns. It is both powerful and gentle, warm as the summer sun and strong as diamonds. Yet, so many regard love as a weakness, a dependency that must be banished. The Jedi Order was guilty of this. What is so wrong about such a sacred emotion? Why must it be cast away and be considered forbidden? Something so beautiful should be regarded with respect and cherished until the end of time.
To those that know her Dormé is considered to be a hopeless romantic and has a love for legends that surround the concept of forbidden love. Though she appears quiet by nature, she is by no means easily overwhelmed and keeps a cool head when under pressure, a trait that is considered manditory for all who serve in the Senator's services. Her eyes She's on the dark side Neutralize Every man in sight -Massive Attack Dormé takes her career very seriously, but she has a penchant for romance and was always drawn to the handsome, brave, heroic Anakin Skywalker. In the looks she exchanged with him in Attack of the Clones, it is evident that she respected and admired him just as much as Padmé if not more. During the farewell scene, the tears she openly wept at parting with her mistress, illustrates her extreme loyalty and devotion as well as her intense concern and love for her mistress. Just as Sabé did, Dormé was Padmé's decoy while she was away.
The most important aspect of Dormé’s loyalty, in regards to her future with Vader, is the fact she was not only accepting, but encouraging of Padmé’s relationship with Anakin. This would put her in Anakin’s good graces, earning his respect and trust.
Unlike her former mentor, Sabé, she did not disappear after Padmé’s funeral on Naboo. People talk, rumours spread, and it was undeniable the new Sith Lord was none other than the most powerful Jedi the galaxy had ever known: Anakin Skywalker. Thoughts of what pain Padmé’s death caused him filled Dormé with such sorrow. When confronted with the reality, that his own master had turned against him and left him in the lava river on Mustafar, such a rage came over her. She felt he deserved of the revenge he sought, that blood was owed to him and she would do everything in her power to help him.
Dormé overheard Anakin speaking of his lust for power in Padmé’s presence on more than one occasion, but where her mistress ignored or blatantly disregarded it, Dormé’s ears perked at it. Padmé looked past the young Padawan for a moment, glimpsing Dormé, who was watching with obvious concern and not even trying to hide her interest anymore. Dormé has secretly, unbeknownst even to herself, wanted Anakin.
Why shouldn’t the most powerful Jedi in the galaxy desire to know more of the Force’s mysteries? He deserved to be the greatest of them all. There was no doubt in her mind that he would bring order to the galaxy, to bring peace to the Empire he created. She said, 'There are many who believe that the Republic has become too large and disjointed', which lends credence to the projection that she would have supported Vader's crusade for Peace through the Galactic Empire.
Naïve though Dormé appears to others, she longs to see Anakin in the position of Emperor, and try though she might, she can’t help but dream of herself standing next to him over their subjects. For Vader, she becomes what Padmé refused to be. Padmé betrayed him, leaving this warped position open to Dormé.
